Isn’t Christmas a wonderful time, especially when you have small children and they still believe in Santa Claus. They get so excited and write a letter to Santa and then on Christmas it is such a joy to look at their excited faces when they unwrap their gifts.
When I grew up in my homeland Germany we celebrated Christmas differently. Santa Claus didn’t deliver the Christmas gifts, but he came already on the 6th of December and brought little gifts and some candies. Then on the evening of December 24th the Christ Child would deliver the gifts to everybody. In Spain they receive the gifts on January 6th as they receive the gifts when the three Kings delivered them to the Christ Child. Different countries different traditions, different ways to celebrate.
